This Indenture made the Fourteenth day of November in the 
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty 
eight   Between Noah Scovall of the City and County & State 
of New York and Aniss Scovell of Essex County of 
Middlesix and State of Connecticut -- of the second 
part Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for 
and in consideration of the sum of Two thousand five 
hundred Dollars lawful money of the United 
States of America to Him in hand paid at or before 
the ensealing and delivery of these presents by the said 
party of the second part the receipt whereof is here
by acknowledged and the said party of the first 
part therewith fully satisfied contented and paid hath 
remised released and quit-claimed and by these 
presents doth remise, release and quit claim unto the 
said the said party of the second part and to his heirs & 
assigns forever all that certain tract of land or 
parcel of land situate lying and being in the that 
part of Province of Florida formerly called East Florida 
in the County of Alachua (formerly a part of St Johns) 
and begining on the East side of Big Creek a branch 
of the Amamna River (Amanana of Melich) where the 
South boundary of John MacKay tract  intersects the 
said Big Creek thence East three hundred & sixteen 
(316) Chains twenty two links thence south one hundred 
and fifty eight (158) chains eleven links to Richard S. Hackley 
tract selected for his own settlement and parrallel with 
the first discribed line -- Thence North wardly along the 
same the place of begining   Containing Five thousand 
acres subject hereafter to actual survey or ad
measurement for the quantity   Together with all 
and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances 
thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and 
the reversion and reversions  remainder and remainders
