			I John E. Holt Mayor of the Borough 
aforesaid in the State of Virginia do hereby Certify that 
Hariet Hackley wife of Richard S. Hackley party to a certain 
deed for the conveyance of real estate to Noah Scovall bearing 
date the fifth day of February one thousand eight hundred 
and twenty eight and hereunto annexed personly appeared 
before me in the Borough aforesaid and being examined 
by me privily and appart from her said husband and having the 
aforesaid fully explained to her she the said Harriet Hackley 
acknowledged the same to be her act and deed and declared 
that she had willingly signed sealed and delivered the 
same and that she wished not to retract it

               In testimony whereof I have set 
               my hand and caused the seal of 
               my office to be affixed this twenty fourth 
               day of December in the year of our 
               Lord one thousand eight hundred 
               and twenty eight and of our Com
