                     This Indenture made this fourteenth day of March 
in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and thirty two between Co'l Gad 
Humphreys of the County of Alachua and Territory Aforesaid of the one part 
and John M. Hanson of St. Augustine and county of St. Johns Aforesaid of the other 
part,  Witnesseth, whereas the said Humphreys stands justly indebted 
to said Hanson in the sum of Three hundred & thirty five dollars agreeably 
to the tenor of his Promissory Note bearing even date with these presents, Now
therefore the said Humphreys in Consideration of the Premises for the better securing 
the payment to said Hanson of the said sum of three hundred and thirty 
five dollars  And for the sum of five dollars by the said Hanson to the said 
Humphreys in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these 
presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted bargained 
and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto said Hanson 
his executors Administrators and assigns three Negro Slaves to wit,  Sam about 
thirty five years of age and his wife Dolly about thirty years of age and her child 
named Lucy a female about Eight years of age together with all the future
