		Know all men by these presents 
that I Joseph Hernandez of the County aforesaid 
for and in consideration of the Sum of Three hundred & Twenty 
five dollars money of the United States of America to me in 
hand paid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge.  Have 
granted bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant 
bargain & sell and deliver unto Co’l Gad Humphreys now in 
the Territory of Florida aforesaid his heirs and assigns a certain 
Negro Boy named Toney about fourteen years of age.  A native 
of the City of St Augustine Territory aforesaid To have & to hold 
the said bargained property to him the said gad Humphreys his 
heirs & assigns forever And I the said Joseph Hernandez for myself 
my heirs executors & administrators all and singular the said bargained 
property unto the said Gad Humphreys his heirs and assigns against 
myself my Executors & administrators and against all and Every other 
person or persons whatever will warrant & defend by these presents
	In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and 
seal this Twenty Eighth day of December in the year of our 
Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and twenty nine
