owing to the said Seraphina Chauveteau whereby 
she has become intitled to inforce the payment of 
of the said sum of fifty thousand francs with all 
of the interest now due thereon and to enter into and 
upon and take possession of the said several tracts 
or parcels of land hereditaments and premises with

said Seraphina Chauveteau hath made ordained 
nominated constituted and appointed and by these presents 
make ordain nominate constitute and appoint 
William Whashington Russel of the City of New York 
her true and Lawful attorney for her and in her 
name but to and for her use to ask demand sue
for recover and receive of and from the said Moses 
Elias Levy his heirs heirs executors administrators or 
assigns or of and from whomsoever it shall or may 
belong to pay the raise the said capital or principal 
sum of fifty thousand francs together with all the 
interest now due and to accrue due thereon and 
upon receipt thereof or any part or parts thereof 
for her and in her name to make and give all such 
good an d sufficient receipts releases acquittainces deeds 
discharges as may be necessary and proper and in 
defalt of payment thereof for her and in her name to 
commence and prosecute any action or actions sute or 
sutes or other proceedings in any court or courts of law 
and equaty for the recovery of the same or any part 
there of and the same actions suits or other proceedings, 
to prosecute with effect or else discontinue com
promise or leave to arbitration as she shall see ***
