Know all men by these presents that I the under assigned 
Joseph Delevante of the this City Merchant do ordain 
constitute and appoint by these presents as 
my law attorney Moses Elias Levy Esquire planter or 
Land Proprietor of Alachua East Florida in the 
U.S. of America to represent me & act in my 
name in all that concerns a mortgage granted 
me by the aforesaid Moses Elias Levy of Alachua 
in East Florida in U.S. of America - planter 
or Land proprietor on the fifteenth day of March 
one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven 
in the City of London to secure unto me a claim 
of Two thousand one hundred and ten pounds 
Sterling against the aforesaid M.E. Levy on 
certain lands specemins therein more particular 
specified belonging to him M.E. Levy in the said 
Teritory of East Florida in the U.S. of America 
Co equal in right with a similar mortgage granted 
by the above mentioned M.E. Levy unto Madame 
Seraphina Chauveteau of the of Paris Widow for 
fifty thousand franks dated Paris the thirteenth 
of July One thousand eight hundred and twenty 
six to secure a claim due unto her by the aforesaid 
M.E.Levy for an equal amount in the said 
lands & premises and whereas the above mentioned 
Mortgage granted me by M.E. Levy was recorded 
at the request of Davis Floyd Esq’r in the 
Teritory of East Florida County of Alachua
