This Indenture made and entered into the
twenty fifth day of December one thousand eight
hundred and thirty four Between Don Pedro
Mirrando, of the City of Havannah by Charles Robion
of St Augustine his Attorney in fact of the first part and
Charles Downing of the same City of St Augustine
of the second part - Witnesseth that the said
Don Pedro Mirando of the first part by Charles Robion
his Attorney aforesaid for and in consideration of
the sum of One thousand Dollars to the said Robion
now in hand paid by the Downig at and before
the Sealing and delivery of these presents the recept
of which is hereby acknowledge and the said
Downing the party of the second part his heirs
and assigns executors and administrators forever
discharged and released from the same by these
presents, hath granted bargained sold aliened
released and confirmed and by these presents
doth grant bargain sell alien release and confirm
to the said Charles Downing party of the
second part his heirs and assigns forever All that
Tract of Land consisting of Two Thousand acres
being an undivided part of a twenty thousand
acre Tract situated in the County of Alachua
at a place called Big Swamp or Hammock
granted to Joseph M. Arredondo by the Spanish
Government of East Florida on the 17th of march
1817 Four thousand acres of which were conveyed to
said Mirando by said Arredondo by his Attorney
Francis I. Fatio by Deed bearing date 1st of March
1825 and recorded in Book G page 69 out
of which said undivided tract of Four thousand
acres as aforesaid one half thereof or Two
thousand Acres also undivided was conveyed |
