This Indenture made and entered into this 
ninth day of January in the year one thousand eight 
hundred and thirty five between William Gibbons 
of the County of Alachua in the Teritory of Florida of 
the one part and Zilpha Caroline Saunders wife of 
William G. Saunders Esq’r of the same place of the 
other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration 
of the sum of Four hundred dollars one hundred dollars 
of which has been in hand paid by the said party 
of the second part to the said party of the second
first part and the receipt of which is hereby ac
knowledged an the remaining Three Three hundred 
Dollars of which is secured to be paid in three 
equal annual instalments the said party of the 
first part hath bargained sold aliened conveyed 
remised released and quit claim unto the said
and by these presents doth bargain sell alien 
remise release and quit and claim unto the 
said Zilpha Caroline Saunders party of the 
second part all that certain piece parcil or 
tract of Land lying and being in the aforesaid 
County of Alachua containing eighty acres and 
sixty nine hundredths of and acre which was 
conveyed to the said William Gibbons by the 
United States of America by patent bearing 
date the fifth day of March A.D. 1833 and which 
said tract is discribed in said patent as 
follows - To wit, the west half of the north east 
quarter of section two in township nine South 
Range eighteen East in the District subject of 
Land subject to sale at St Augustine Florida 
Teritory - Containing eighty acres and 
sixty nine hundredths of and acre
