and he the said Fernando E. Lowe forever acquited  
therefore   Do give grant and deliver unto the said 
Fernando E. Lowe & by these presents have given 
granted granted and delivered unto him my ___  
Certain Negro man Slave named Bill aged 
thirty five years  To have and to hold unto 
him the said Fernando E. Lowe his executors and 
administrators and assigns to his and their own 
proper use benefit and behoof forever _
   And I do warrant unto him his executors ad
ministrators and assigns that I have good and 
legal right so to give grant and deliver unto 
him the said Lowe in manner and form as 
is above written & that I and my executors 
administrators and assigns will forever defend 
the same against all claims and demands whatsoever  
But it is this agreement of the said Fernando 
E. Lowe that the said gift grant and delivery 
of the said slave not withstanding  that to keep and 
use the said slave till my death allowing the 
said Fernando E. Lowe at the rate of five 
dollars per year therefore to be paid after my 
death __
