Newnansville 3rd June 1837
Having several years since had placed in my hands
a claim against Willy Brook the said claim having been
originally in favor of Bryant Edmanson but at the time
of its delivery to me belonging to Daniel C. Clark or to
George T. Warner With intention to do the best in
my power with it and to take my fees out of such sum
as I might be able to collect upon it __ And the same
having been in my hand since December 1833 And
a suit having been immediately directed by attachment _
But no property having been found nor any thing get
collected nor any means of collecting anything within
my power or Knowledge
I do hereby in in consideration of the Hundred and
six dollars to me in hand this day paid by the said
Willy Brooks discharge him from said suit and from
all demands on account of the same
