This Indenture made this first day of April
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and thirty nine Between Moses E. Levy
of the City of St. Augustine, East Florida party
of the first part and Peter S. Smith of the same
place, party of the second part. Witnesseth that
the said party of the first part for and in consid
eration of the sum of six thousand Eight hundred
and seventy five Dollars to him in hand paid by the
said party of the second part at and before the
sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt
whereof is hereby Acknowledged hath granted
bargained, sold Aliened and Conveyed and by
these presents doth grant bargain, sell, Alien and
Convey unto the said party of the second part
and to his heirs and assigns forever, All that cer
tain Land herein after mentioned and more partic
ular described, that is to say, All that certain tract
of land which was originally granted by Governor
Coppinger to Don Duan De Entralgo by grant
bearing date the fifteenth day of November in the
year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and
seventeen And described in and by said grant
as being situated about thirty miles west of the (then)
Port at Buena Vista upon the River
St. Johns at the place known as the Water Pen
its Measurement commencing on the Tail
of a Large Pond which is found at
said place bounded on all sides by
Royal or Public Land containing one
thousand Acres and situate in the
County of Alachua, said tract of
land was after wards , to wit, on the
ninth day of September in the year of
