Whereas Peter S. Smith stands justly indebted
to Moses E. Levy in the sum of six thousand
Dollars according to the terms of his certain bond
or writing Obligatory bearing even date herewith
that being the consideration money for a certain
tract of Land purchased by said Peter S.
Smith from said Moses E. Levy called Water
Pens and described in a deed of conveyance thereof
bearing even date herewith. Now this Indenture
made this first day of April in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty
nine between the said Peter S. Smith of the City of
St. Augustine East Florida party of the first
part and the said Moses E. Levy of the same
place party of the second part Witnesseth
that the said party of the first part assuring
for the better securing the said party of the
second part the payment of the said sum
of six thousand eight hundred and seventy
five dollars and the interest thereon to accrue
according to the terms of said bond or writing
Obligatory or in consideration of the sum of
ten dollars to him in hand paid by the
party of the second part at and before
the sealing and delivery of these presents the
receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged Hath
granted bargained, sold aliened and conveyed
and by these presents doth grant bargain sell
alien and convey unto the said party of the
second part and to his heirs and assigns
forever All that certain Land herein after
discribed that is to say All that certain
tract Originally granted to Don Juan Entralgo
on the fifteenth day of November in the year |
