Writing in my office, with the Certificate thereon indorsed -
Witness my name as Clerk of the County Court for the
County and Territory Aforesaid this 29th day of November 1824

Know all men by these presents That I
Samuel Fairbanks of the County of St. Johns in the Territory
of Florida in consideration of the sum of Five thousand Dollars
to him in hand paid by John B. Strong of the City of St. Augustine
in the Territory aforesaid, have granted, bargained, Sold and released
and by these presents Do grant, bargain, Sell and release unto the
said John B. Strong a Certain piece or parcel of Land situate
lying and being on the Santafe and Territory Aforesaid containing
One thousand Acres, being one equal and undivided half of a tract of
two thousand Acres, Originally granted to Joseph S. Sanchez and
conveyed by the said Sanchez and Antonio Alvarez to me their Wives
joining in the Conveyance, and has since been confirmed, by the board
of Commissioners for settling claims to Land in East Florida, Also One
other tract of Land, which I purchased of Rapheil D. Fontaine lying
in Dearborn Swamp, and which was Originally granted to the said
Rapheil D. Fontaine and contains Five hundred Acres, and has since
been confirmed to me by the board of Commissioners Aforesaid, Also a Lot
in the City of St. Augustine which I purchased of John A. Caorda as
the Attorney of Maria Ventura Rodriguez and lies in St. Georges Street
and is called the church Lot, and is bounded by Nicholas Rodriguez
on the North and Nicholas Estchunopoly on the South, and the Creek on
the West, and the Street on the East, and contains One Acre of Land more
or less and is also confirmed by the Commissioners. Together with all |
