This Indenture made the
sixth day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand
eight hundred and thirty five, Between Samuel Blair
United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Florida
of the first part and William Marvin late of Vienna in the
state of New York but now of Key West in the said Territory
of Florida of the second part __ Whereas by Virtue of two
Writs of Plurese Fieri Facias, issued out of the Superior Court
of the Eastern District of Florida, and to the said Marshal directed
and delivered, he was commanded that of the Goods & Chattels, Lands
and tenements of Squire Stretter and Davis Floyd, as Administrators of
the Estate of John B. Strong, late of the District of East Florida, deceased
to cause to be made the several Sums of Seven Hundred & thirty five
Dollars and One hundred & eighty three Dollars and twenty five
cents the amount actually due to satisfy Smith Gismand & Julia
Gorham which they lately recovered in the said Superior Court
Against the said Squire Stretter and Davis Floyd, Administrators
as Aforesaid, And whereas the said Marshal, by Virtue of the said
Writs of Fieri Facias did on the fourth day of May in the year
One thousand eight hundred & Thirty five, Levy upon seize and
take all, the right title and interest whereof the said Squire Stretter
and Davis Floyd as Administrators as aforesaid, were seized on the
said fourth day of May in the year aforesaid, or at any time afterwards
of in and to a certain tract of Land Situated in the County of
Alachua on the Santafe River, containing One thousand Acres
being an undivided part of part of a tract of Two thousand Acres Originally
granted to Joseph S. Sanchez, and conveyed by him & Antonio
Alvarez to Samuel Fairbank and by the said Samuel Fairbank
to the aforesaid John B. Strong, deceased, Also one other tract of
Land in the same County containing three thousand five
hundred Acres Situated on the south side of the Santafe River
Originally granted to Francis R. Sanchez and by him and his wife
conveyed to John B. Strong, deceased, and being part of a tract |
