This Indenture made the third day of July 
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred 
and twenty one   Between Nathaniel Wells of the 
City and State of New York Merchant of the first 
part and Elisha Huntington of the same place 
Merchant of the second part __
Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for 
and in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars 
lawful money of the United States of America to me 
in hand paid by the party of the second part at or 
before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt 
whereof is hereby Acknowledge and the said party of the 
second part his heirs executors and Administrators forever 
released and discharged from the same by these Presents 
Hath granted bargained sold aliened remised released 
enfeoffed Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents 
Doth grant bargain sell alien remise release enfeoff 
Convey and confirm unto the said party of the second 
part his heirs and assigns forever, all that two thous
and acres of land being part of thirty thousand acres 
of land which said thirty thousand acres of land is an 
undivided part of a certain grant tract of land con
taining two hundred and eighty nine thousand six 
hundred and forty five acres and five sevenths of an 
acre, or there about situated lying and being in the 
Alachua territory East Florida  west of St. Augustine 
heretofore granted by the Spanish Government to 
Don Fernando de la Maza Arredondo and son by 
grant being dated at Havana an as before the twenty 
eighth day of December in the year one thousand 
eight hundred and seventeen the said large tract 
of two hundred and eighty nine thousand six 
hundred and forty five acres and five sevenths of an 
acre being hereafter to be divided in to twelve parts 
and these parts to be ballotted for by the parties
