thirty seven, by and between Peter Mitchel of the County aforesaid 
on the One part, and Benjamin A. Putnam of St. Augustine E. Florida 
on the other part  Witnesseth  Whereas the said Benjamin A. Putnam 
an Attorney at Law, hath in the course of a litigation with the United 
States, rendered various services important and beneficial to the 
said Peter Mitchel, in Maintaining the titles to the lands of the Arre
dondo Grants, herein after mentioned, and for and in consideration 
of the sum of One Dollar, to the said Peter Mitchel well and truly paid 
by the said Benjamin A. Putnam the receipt whereof is hereby
