By this public Instrument be it known to all
whom it may concern that I, William H. Maxwell Commissioner in & for the State of New
York duly commissioned by the Governor of the Territory of Florida (by virtue of an act of
the Legislature of the said Territory entitled “An Act to authorize the appointment of
Commissioners &c passed Jan’y 24th 1831 and therein and thereby authorized and
empowered to take the acknowledgment of any deed, contract, Letter of Attorney, Mort
gage, or conveyance of any Land, Tenements or Hereditaments, lying or being in the Territory
of Florida or any other writing under seal to be used in said Territory with full power and authority
to administer oaths and affirmations, take depositions &c) do hereby certify that on the fifteenth day
of April one Thousand Eight hundred and thirty three Before me said Commissioner personally
came Enoch Wiswall, well known to me to be the grantor named and discribed in the
annexed deed and having made known to him the contents thereof he acknowledged
he had truly signed, sealed, and, delivered and executed the same for the uses and purposes therein
mentioned
