   This Indenture made & entered into this Twenty ninth 
day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred 
and thirty three between John M. Stafford, and Susanna his 
wife of the County of Alachua and territory of Florida of the 
one part and George Branning of Duval County in the 
Territory Aforesaid Territory of the other part Witnesseth 
that whereas on the Twentieth of may in the year now pres
ent, a final separation took place between the aforesaid 
John M. Stafford and his aforesaid wife Susanna, formerly 
Susanna Branning and sister of the aforesaid George 
Branning, and whereas the aforesaid John M. Stafford is 
willing to make a lawful provision for the support main
tenance and comfort of his aforesaid wife and hath agreed 
for that purpose to refund to the said George for her use, all 
the property and estate hereinafter named, being the entire property 
received as her Patrimony at or since their marriage for this cause 
and for and in consideration of a Bond Executed by the said George 
Branning with William Branning as his security to bear the said 
John M Stafford free and harmless from the further support and 
maintanence of the said Susanna his wife, and for other pur
poses in said Bond expressed reference thereto being had bearing 
even date with these presents will more fully appear and for and 
in consideration of the sum of five dollars to him the said John M. 
Stafford in hand paid at and before the ensealing, and delivery of 
these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged.  He 
the said John M. Stafford hath bargained sold and delivered unto 
the said George Branning the following named property to wit 
Two Negroes Milley a girl about eighteen years of age and Wiley 
a boy about four years old together with the future issue and in
crease of the female  if any, also thirty nine head of stock cattle 
the old ones whereof are marked with a poplar leaf in one ear and 
a split in the other and branded AB, the younger ones marked with 
a poplar leaf in one ear and a split and under bit in the other 
branded F Also two notes of William Branning payable to
