Alachua County            On the twelfth day of December One thousand eight 
hundred and forty, before me one of the Justices of the peace of said County 
personally came and appeared Bennett M. Dell and Elira D. Dell to me 
personally known and known to me to be the persons mentioned & described 
in and who executed the foregoing instrument and they severally Acknow
ledged they executed the same, for the uses and purposes therein mentioned  
And the said Elira D.Dell was examined by me privately, Separate & apart 
from her said Husband and on such examination she Acknowledged that 
she executed the within instrument  and the foregoing renunciation freely 
and voluntarily without any Compulsion Constraint Apprehension or fear 
of or from her said Husband

This Indenture made the thirty first day of December in the year of our 
Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty two  Between Walter Mead 
of the City and State of New York of the first part and David Lee of the same 
City and State (Merchant) party of the second part.  Witnesseth that the 
said party of the first part for and in the consideration of the sum of One thousand 
seven hundred and ninety six Dollars and eleven cents lawful money 
of the United States of America to him in hand paid at or before the 
ensealing of and delivery of these presents by the said party of the second 
part the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged and the party of the first 
part therewith fully satisfied contented and paid, hath remised, released 
and quit claimed and by these presents doth remise, release and quit claim 
unto the said party of the second part, and unto his heirs & Assigns forever  
All the equal and undivided Two thirds of ten thousand acres of Land being an 
undivided part of thirty thousand acres of land, which thirty thousand 
acres is an undivided part of a large tract of land containing two 
hundred and eighty nine thousand six hundred and forty five acres 
and five sevenths of an acre Situate lying and being in the Alachua Territory 
in East Florida, west of St. Augustine as by reference to the grant made
