To all to whom these presents shall come
		             I Jesse Carter, Treasurer of Alachua County 
send Greeting                       Whereas by an order of the County 
Court of Alachua, in the Territory of Florida, duly passed and entered 
of Record,  it is directed that the Treasurer of said County, shall make execute 
and deliver to the purchaser of lots in the Town of Newnansville, Deeds 
of Conveyance for the Lots by them respectively entered,   And Whereas 
Benjamin A. Putnam stands noted and entered upon the plots of 
said Town in my custody as the purchaser of the Lot herein after 
Specified _____
	Now know ye That I the said Jesse Carter Treasurer of the 
County of Alachua by virtue of the Authority so as aforesaid in me vested 
in Consideration of the sum of twenty Dollars and fifty cents paid by the 
said Benjamin A. Putnam the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged  
have granted bargained and Sold and by these presents do grant bargain 
and sell unto the said Benjamin A. Putnam and to his heirs & Assigns 
forever  All that certain Lot designated as Lot number three Block number 
two Range number four upon the plan of the Town as Filed & existing 
in the Clerk's Office of the County Court of Alachua County Aforesaid ____  
Together with all and Singular the hereditaments & Appurtenances 
to the same in any Wise belonging.  To have and to hold the said 
Lot and premises and every part thereof with the Appurtenances unto 
the said Benjamin A. Putnam  his heirs and Assigns forever as fully & 
Absolutely as I the said Jesse Carter  Treasurer Aforesaid and under the 
Authority Aforesaid, might, could or ought to sell & convey the same
         	In Testimony Whereof I have hereunto set my hand & 
affixed my Seal this 10th day of October AD 1839
