Alachua County Be it remembered that on the fourth
day of January in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred
and forty one ___ before me James McNeill Clerk of the County Court
of Alachua County, duly Commissioned and Qualified, personally
came James Pendarvis ___ One of the Subscribing Witnesses to the fore
going Deed of Conveyance who being duly sworn , declares & Says
that he saw Jesse Carter the Grantor in the said Deed sign Seal and
deliver the same, for the purposes in the said Deed mentioned ____

To all to whom these presents shall come
I Jesse Carter, Treasurer of Alachua County send Greeting
Whereas by an order of the County Court of Alachua County,
in the Territory of Florida, duly passed and entered of Record, it is directed
that the Treasurer of said County, shall make execute and deliver to the
purchaser of lots in the Town of Newnansville, Deeds of Conveyance for the
Lots by them respectively entered, And Whereas William D. Simmons &
John C. Clelland stands noted and entered upon the plot of said Town
in my custody as the purchaser of the Lots herein after Specified _____
Now know ye That I the said Jesse Carter Treasurer of the said
County of Alachua by virtue of the Authority so as aforesaid in me vested
in Consideration of the sum of Sixty one Dollars and fifty cents paid by
the said Simmons & Clelland the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged
have bargained granted and Sold and by these presents do grant bargain
and sell unto the said William D. Simmons and John C. Clelland and to
his heirs and Assigns forever All those certain Lots designated as Lots
numbers Six, Seven and eight in Block two Range number four__ Upon the plan
of the Town as Filed & existing in the Clerk's Office of the County Court of
Alachua County Aforesaid _ Together with all and Singular the heredi
taments & Appurtenances to the same in any wise belonging. To |
