To all to whom these presents shall come
	I Jesse Carter, Treasurer of Alachua County Send Greeting         
	         Whereas by an order of the County Court of Alachua County in the 
Territory of Florida duly passed and entered of Record,  it is directed that 
the Treasurer of said County, shall make execute and deliver to the purchasers 
of lots in the Town of Newnansville, Deeds of Conveyance for the Lots by 
them respectively entered,   And Whereas Finn Peck stands noted 
and entered upon the plot of said Town in my custody as the 
purchaser of the Lots herein after Specified,   Now know ye That 
I the said Jesse Carter Treasurer of the said County of Alachua by 
virtue of the Authority so as aforesaid in me vested in Consideration 
of the sum of Fifteen Dollars and fifty cents paid by the said 
Finn Peck the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged have granted, 
bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and Sell unto 
the said Finn Peck and to his heirs and Assigns forever  All that 
certain Lot designated as Lot number  five in Block number three 
Range number one, upon the plan of the Town as filed & existing 
in the Clerk's Office of the County Court of Alachua County Aforesaid   
Together with all and Singular the hereditaments & Appurtenances 
to the same in any wise belonging,   To have and to hold the said 
Lot and premises and every part thereof with the Appurtenances 
unto the said Finn Peck his heirs and Assigns forever as fully & 
Absolutely as I the said Jesse Carter  Treasurer Aforesaid and under 
the Authority Aforesaid, might, could or ought to sell & convey the same
	In Testimony Whereof I have hereunto set my hand 
and affixed my Seal this 12th day of October AD 1840
