and demand whatsoever of the said parties of the first part of in 
and to the same, and every part and parcel thereof ____
	To have and to hold the same and every part and parcel 
thereof, with the appurtenances, unto the said John M. Standley
Sanchez his heirs and Assigns forever,  And the said James M. 
Bates for himself and his heirs, the above described & hereby 
granted and released premises and every part and parcel 
thereof with the Appurtenances unto the said party of the
second part his heirs and assigns Against the said parties 
first part and their heirs and against all and every 
person and persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to 
claim the same, shall and will Warrant and forever defend 
by these presents __
		In Witness Whereof the said parties 
of the first part have hereunto set our hands & Seals the day & 
year first above written ____

Alachua County		Be it remembered that on this 
thirteenth day of January One thousand eight hundred and 
forty one, Personally came before me the subscriber a justice 
of the Peace for the County of Alachua, the above named James 
M. Bates and Louisa T. Bates his wife, both personally known to 
and known to me to be the same persons mentioned & described in & 
who executed the foregoing instrument, and they severally Acknowl
edged to me, that they executed the same for the uses and purposes 
therein mentioned,  And the said Louisa T. Bates being by me 
examined privately, separated and apart from her said husband 
on such examination Acknowledged that she made the relinquish
ment and renunciation of Dower and signed the foregoing 
instrument freely and Voluntarily and without any Compul
sion Constraint, Apprehension or fear of or from her said
