This Indenture made the Twenty Second day of January One thousand 
eight hundred and forty one  Between John S. Taylor of Newnansville of the 
one part and Loyal Scranton and William Olmstead of Savannah of the second 
part  Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration 
of the sum of Eight hundred Dollars lawful money of the United States of America 
to him duly paid hath bargained, Sold, assigned transferred & set over 
and by these presents  Doth grant bargain Sell Assign transfer & set over 
unto the Said parties of the second part One likely Negro Slave man 
named Ben of light complexion aged about Twenty years old purchased 
by said John S. Taylor of Spencer Price of Alachua County Florida said 
Negro Slave now in my possession  Together with all the Rights title 
and interest of the said party of the first part of in and to the same ____
		Provided always nevertheless that if the said John S. Taylor 
shall well and truly pay the said Loyal Scranton & William Olmstead 
the just and full sum of Eight hundred Dollars lawful money as aforesaid 
on or before the first day of March next According to a certain Bond or 
Obligation bearing even date herewith then this Obligation or Conveyance 
shall be null and void __ ___
		In Witness whereof the said  party of the first part hereto hath 
hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written__

Florida and Jemima his wife of the first part and Loyal Scranton and 
William Olmstead of Savannah of the second part  Witnesseth that the 
said parties of the first part in consideration of Eight hundred Dollars 
lawful money to them duly paid, have sold and by these presents do grant 
and convey to the said party of the second part  All that certain piece  
parcel or tract of Land situate and being in the County of Hamilton
