This Indenture made the Twenty third day of December one thousand 
eight hundred and forty  Between John J. Sanchez commissioner of the 
County of Alachua of the one part and N.W. Hunter of the second part  
Witnesseth, That Whereas by an order of the County Court of Alachua County
of the Territory of Florida, duly passed and entered it is directed that the 
commissioner of the said County ( which commissioner was appointed by virtue of an Act 
of the Legislative Council of the Territory of Florida Authorizing the County 
Court of Alachua to make such Appointment) shall make execute and deliver 
to the purchasers of Lots in the Town of Newnansville  Deeds of Conveyance for 
the Lots by them respectively entered,  And whereas N.W. Hunter stands 
noted and entered upon the plot of said Town in my custody as the purchaser 
of Lots herein after specified   Now know ye that I the said John J. 
Sanchez commissioner of said County of Alachua by virtue of the Authority so 
in me aforesaid vested in consideration of the sum of sixty two Dollars paid by the 
said N.W. Hunter  the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged and the said N.W. 
Hunter and his heirs, executors, Administrators and Assigns  forever released 
from the same  Have granted bargained sell Assigned transferred and 
conveyed and by these presents  Do grant, bargain, sell, assign transfer 
and convey unto the said N.W. Hunter his heirs and Assigns forever   All 
that certain equal undivided  half of all and Singular , those certain Lots 
pieces or parcels of Land situate lying and being in the Town of Newnansville 
County of Alachua Aforesaid and known and distinguished on a certain map 
or plot of the said Town of Newnansville in the hands of the said commissioner and to 
be deposited in the Clerks Office of Alachua County as Lots or Block number one 
Range number four containing eight Lots of half an Acre each north West 
of the public Square in the said Town of Newnansville  Together with all 
and Singular the hereditaments and Appurtenances thereunto belonging  
To have and to hod the said Lots and premises and every part and 
parcel thereof with the Appurtenances unto the said N.W. Hunter his heirs 
and Assigns forever as fully and Absolutely as I the said commissioner 
Aforesaid under the Authority Aforesaid might could or ought to convey the 
same   In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal the day and year 
first above written
