and in consideration of the premises and the better securing
to the said George Field President as aforesaid of the
Southern Life Insurance and Trust Company and to his
Successors in Office and assigns, the payment of the said several
Sums of money above mentioned with the interest thereon Accrued
and to Accrue, and of the sum of Ten Dollars to him in hand
paid by the said George Field President Aforesaid at and
before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof
is hereby Acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, Sold
Aliened and conveyed, and by these presents, doth grant
bargain, Sell, Alien and convey, unto the said George Field
his Successors in Office and assigns, All that tract of Land being
an undivided moity of a certain tract of land containing fifteen
hundred Acres, Situated in a place called the Big swamp or Hammock
in the County of Alachua Originally granted to Antonio Alvarey by
the Spanish Governor Don Sost Cappinger on the seventh day of December
in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and seventeen
and which said undivided moity is the same that was conveyed by the
said Antonio Alvarey to the said Gad Humphreys on the thirteenth
day of August in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred
and twenty five by Deed bearing date the day and year last
aforesaid, which said Deed was recorded in the Office of Record
of the County of St. John on the first day of September in the year of
our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twenty five And
Afterwards in the Office of record in the County of Alachua, Tog
ether with all and Singular the tenements hereditaments and
Appurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging, or in any wise
Appertaining and the reversion and reversions, remainder and
remainders, rents, issue and profits thereof, To have and
to hold the above bargained and described premises unto him the
said George Field and to his Successors in Office and Assigns forever
Provided Nonetheless and these presents are upon this express Con
dition, that if the said Gad Humphreys shall well and truly
pay or cause to be paid unto the said George Field President |
