Alachua County		Know all men by these presents that 
I Alonzo B. Noyes of Micanopy in the County of Alachua being justly 
Indebted to John S. Livingston of the same place in the sum of Fifteen 
hundred Dollars and forty two Cents upon three promissory Notes made 
by me  One for Five hundred Dollars dated 18th of September  One for five 
hundred dated the first of October And one for five hundred Dollars 
and forty two Cents dated 10th of October all in AD 1842 payable 
to John S. Livingston with interest, have for the purpose of Securing 
the payment of said Debts, granted, bargained, sold & Mortgaged 
and by these presents do Bargain, grant, sell, and Mortgage unto the 
said John S. Livingston, the following personal property  To Wit ____
	My Negroe fellow Alexander aged twenty five years, Also my 
Negroe Woman Hyacinth aged twenty two years, and her child 
Amanda aged Eleven months, All Slaves for life, Also the issue 
of said Slaves if any from and after this date, Also Two Grey Mules 
also two Sorrel Mules, and One Sorel Mare and colt, One Wagon &
four Sets of harness, Also One Barrouch with two sets of Harness  
Together with the House I now Occupy at Micanopy and all the Out 
houses and Appurtenances and improvements thereunto belonging   To have 
and to hold forever ____
		Provided always, and the Condition of these presents 
is such that if I the said Alonzo B. Noyes shall pay or cause to be paid 
unto the said John S. Livingston the debts with interest on or before the first 
day of January AD 1844 then this instrument shall be void and of no 
effect   And I the said Alonzo B. Noyes agree to pay the same Accordingly  
But if default be made in such payment the said John S. Livingston 
is hereby Authorized to sell at Public Auction after the like Notice as is 
by Law required for Sheriffs Sales, the Goods, Chattels, and personal 
property herein before mentioned or so much thereof as may be necessary 
to satisfy the said debt, Interest and reasonable expenses, and to 
retain the same out of the proceeds of such sale the Overplus or 
residue if any to belong and be returned to me __ __
		And the said John S. Livingston is hereby
