This Indenture made and entered into this Twenty first
day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand eight
hundred and forty two, Between John G. Tyner of Alachua
County in the Territory of Florida of the first part and Archibald
H. Cole of St. Johns County in said Territory of the second part ___
Whereas the said party of the first part is justly indebted to the said
party of the second part, in the sum of eight hundred Dollars lawful
money Conditioned for the payment of four hundred Dollars with interest
thereon at the rate of eight per Cent per annum, on or before the first day
of May in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred & forty three
as appears by his certain bond or written Obligatory bearing even
date with these presents, Now this Indenture Witnesseth
that for the better securing to the said party of the Second part the
payment of the said Bond or Written Obligatory According to the
true intent and meaning thereof, as also in consideration of the sum
of ten Dollars by the said party of the second part in hand paid at & before
the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby
