This Indenture made this 4th day of March One thousand 
eight hundred and thirty eight between William M. Reed & 
his wife Rebecca of the one part and Archibald McRae of the other 
all of Hamilton County and Territory of Florida  Witnesseth 
that the said Wm. M. Reed and his wife Rebecca for and in con
sideration of the sum of one thousand Five hundred Dollars to 
them duly paid by the said Arch. McRae  the receipt whereof is 
hereby Acknowledged, have Sold and by these presents doth 
grant and Convey to the said Arch. McRae the following described 
tracts or parcels of land, Situate lying and being in the Territory 
of Florida and County of Alachua and known as the east 
half of the South West quarter of Section thirty three Township Seven 
Range Eighteen South and east, And the West half of the South east 
quarter of Section thirty three Township Seven Range eighteen 
South and east and the East half of the South West quarter of 
section thirty four Township seven Range Eighteen South and east, 
and the West half of the South East quarter of section thirty four
township seven Range eighteen South and East containing in all 
three hundred and twenty 32/100 Acres with all the Appurtenances 
and all of the estate title and interest of the said William M. Reed 
and his wife Rebecca therein.  To have and to hold the said 
land and premises unto the said Arch. McRae his heirs and assigns 
forever to the only proper use benefit and behoof of the said Archd 
McRae his heirs and assigns forever.  And William M. Reed doth 
for himself his Executors and Administrators hereby Covenant and 
agree that at the delivery hereof he is the lawful owner of the 
premises herein granted and is seized of a good & indefeasible 
Estate of inheritance and fee Simple shown clear of all encumb
rances whatsoever, And that he will Warrant and defend the 
Above granted premises in the quiet and peaceable possession of the 
said Archibald McRae his heirs and assigns forever
