day of March One thousand eight hundred and thirty eight pers
onally came before me Rebecca the wife of William M. Reed and 
did Acknowledge that she did of her own free will and accord 
Subscribe Seal and deliver the foregoing Deed to Archd McRae 
with the intention thereby renounce and quit claim and give 
forever her right of Dower to the lands therein mentioned which said 
Acknowledgment was made by the said Rebecca in private exam
ination___
	          In Testimony Whereof I have hereunto set 
                  my hand and private Seal ( having no 
                  Seal of Office) on the day and year before mentioned
