Know all men by these presents, that I Mary Ann Garrison of 
Chocachatia, in the County of Alachua in the consideration of thirty Dollars 
to me paid by Charles W. Cushing of Newnansville in the County aforesaid 
the receipt whereof I hereby Acknowledge do by these presents give grant 
bargain sell and convey unto the said C.W. Cushing his heirs & Assigns, 
a certain parcel of land situate in Newnansville aforesaid, bounded and 
described as follows, on the North by land owned by W.S. Olmsted, on the 
West by land belonging to the Gregory Estate, and on the South and East by 
Center Street marked on the Town Plot, Range N 2 Block 3 Lot 5 being 
half an Acre more or less, being a lot of land which was given and granted 
to me by order of the County Court for Alachua March Term 1840 and 
in pursuance of an Act of the Legislative Council, which order upon the 
records of said court is as follows, that the Town Commissioner be Authorized 
and required to make Titles to Mary Ann Garrison to lot N5 on said range 
22 Block 3, the one she now resides on, without her paying any consideration  
Money for the same, And the said titles have been made to me the said 
Mary Ann Garrison, together with all of the Privileges & Appurtenances 
to the said land in any wise appertaining and belonging  To have 
and to hold the above granted premises to the said Charles W. Cushing 
his heirs and assigns to his and their use and behoof forever___
	And I the said Mary Ann Garrison for myself my heirs executors 
and Administrators do Covenant with the said Charles W. Cushing 
his heirs and Assigns, that I am lawfully seized in fee of the afore granted 
premises, that they are free from all encumbrances, that I have a good 
right to sell and convey the same to Charles W. Cushing as Aforesaid 
and that I will and my heirs executors and Administrators shall warrant 
and defend the same to the said C.W. Cushing his heirs and Assigns for 
against the lawful demands of all persons ___  In Testimony Whereof  I 
the said Mary Ann Garrison have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 7th 
day of February AD One thousand eight hundred and forty three_____
