meaning thereof -- And also Shall well and truly pay to the 
said Joseph L. Smith his heirs Executors administrators and 
assigns a certain other promissory note in writing by me the 
said Gad Humphreys well executed and delivered of the same 
date for the sum of One hundred and Sixty Eight dollars 
14/100 dollars lawful money of the United States for value 
received also payable to the said Joseph L. Smith or to 
his order on or before the first day of March AD 1834 with 
ten per cent interest after the same shall come due -- 
according to the tenor and true intent and meaning 
thereof, then such payment being made this deed is to 
be void and of no effect otherwise to remain in full 
force forever
		In Witness whereof I have set my hand 
and affixed my seal at the City of St Augustine this twenty 
seventh day of April Eighteen hundred and thirty three
