	      To all whom these presents shall come I Samuel 
Blair Marshall of the District of East Florida send greeting
             Whereas by a decree of the Superior Court District aforesaid 
made on the first day of December in the year Eighteen hundred and thirty two 
in a certain case in chancery whereon Joseph & Charles Lawton were complainants 
and Mary Smith the widow and executrix of Waters Smith deceased and 
Waters Smith, Samuel Blair and Selena his wife formerly Selena Smith Hagood 
Snowdon & Elizabeth his wife formerly Elizabeth Smith and Sarah Ann and 
Robert Smith the two last mentioned minors by their next friend Waters Smith 
Selena Blair, Elizabeth Snowden, Sarah Ann and Robert Snowden being 
children and heirs of Waters Smith deceased defendants, It was ordered and 
decreed that certain mortgaged premises in said decree mentioned and herein 
after more particularly described be sold in front of the Court House in the 
City of St. Augustine to the highest bidder for cash on the first Monday in 
November One Thousand Eight Hundred and thirty three between the 
hours of Eleven O’clock in the forenoon and two O’clock in the afternoon 
of that day by the Marshall of the said District and whereas the 
sale of the said Mortgaged premises was adjourned from time to time by order 
of the said Court till the second Monday of January Eighteen Hundred and 
thirty four, and be sold on that day unless the sum of Two Thousand four 
Hundred and Seventy four dollars and fifty cents with lawful interest 
thereon from the date of said decree until paid, shall have been paid 
to the said complainants by the said defendants together with the costs 
in said decree specified and whereas the said sum of Two Thousand four 
Hundred &Seventy four dollars and fifty cents together with the said 
interests and costs, was not paid to the said complainants to the 
said defendants on or before the second Monday of January Eighteen 
Hundred & Thirty four and whereas I the said Samuel Blair Marshall 
of the District aforesaid in pursuance and by the authority of said decree 
did on the day of the date of these presents proceed to sell to the highest 
bidder for cash the Mortgaged premises in said decree mentioned the 
same having been advertised as directed in said decree, to wit All that 
certain tract or parcel of Land situated in the district of east Florida at 
Cooleys Creek Alachua County on the Road called Rays Trail between the twelfth
