Know all men by these presents that I James Edwards 
of Alachua County in the Teritory of Florida in con
sideration of the natural Love and affection which I 
have and bear for my wife Hannah Edwards and 
also for diverse other good causes and considerations and 
the said James Edwards hereunto moving have given 
granted and confirmed and by these presents do give 
grant and confirm unto the said Hannah Edwards 
one Black Mare purchased by me from John H. 
McIntosh Senior of Georgia together with the foal now 
following her and all future progeny descending from 
said mare _ To have and to hold and enjoy all 
and singular the said mare and progeny or proceeds 
thereof unto the said Hannah Edwards her heirs Executors 
or assigns to the only proper use & behoof of the 
said Hannah Edwards her executors administrators 
and assigns for ever And I the said James Edwards 
all and singular the said mare and progeny and 
proceeds thereof to the said Hannah Edwards her 
Executors administrators and assigns against me the 
said James Edwards my executors and administrators 
and all and every other person or persons whatsoever 
shall and will warrant and defend forever by these presents 
of which mare and foal I the said James Edwards have 
put the said Hannah Edwards  in full possession by 
delivering the same to her at the time of the sealing and 
delivery of these presents   In witness whereof I have here
unto set my hand and seal at Micanopy in the County 
of Alachua East Florida the fourth day of June one 
thousand eight hundred and thirty four in presence 
of. Signed sealed and delivered in
