generally to do and perform, have, hold, acquire, and enjoy
all the property, powers and things as shall be incident, necess-
are to expedient for the conducting the necessary operation of the
business, and generally to be vested with and have all the powers
granted, or which may be hereafter granted, to telephone companies
under the laws of the State of Florida.  and have published due notice
thereof, and have otherwise complied with the Statute in such case
made and provided.
Therefore, the State of Florida hereby incorporates the above named
persons, their associates and successors into a body politic and cor-
porate in deed and in law by and under the said name of East
Florida Telephone Company and grants unto them full author-
ity to exercise the powers and privileges of a corporation for the
purpose above stated in accordance with their said charter and the
Laws of the State.
     In Witness Whereof These presents have been attested with the
Great Seal, and signed and countersigned by the Governor and Secre-
tary of State of the State of Florida at Tallahassee, the twenty-
third day of November  A.D.  1904.

                     Notice of Incorporation
     Notice is hereby given that we, the undersigned, intend to apply
to the Governor of the State of Florida for Letters Patent to be issued to the
East Florida Telephone Company, a proposed corporation under
the Laws of the State of Florida, of which company the following
shall be the Articles of Incorporation.
The notice is given pursuant to the requirements of the State
of Florida, and the Articles of Incorporation have been filed
with the Secretary of State, and are given below.

                    Article I
The name of the corporation shall be the East Florida Tel-
ephone Company, and its principal place of business shall be
in Gainesville, Alachua County, Florida, but it may estab-
lish offices, and, agencies at other other places within the State
of Florida.
                    Article II
The general nature of the business shall be: to operate telephone
lines from Gainesville to Micanopy, Archer, Newberry, Alachua
Waldo, and other points in Alachua County, also into and through
Levy, Marion, Bradford, Columbia, Putnam, Clay Suwanee
LaFayette, and Citrus Counties.  Its length, 300 miles as near
as may be; to own, operate, lease and rent telephones and
telephone exchanges, and to deal in any and all kinds of
electrical goods and supplies, and this corporation shall
