City of Gainesville, Alachua County, Florida, who being duly sworn de-
poses and says that the advertisement of Notice of Application for
Charter in the case of The Gainesville and Alachua County Hospital
Association, a copy of which is hereto attached, was duly published
and advertised in said newspaper once each week consecu-
tively for the period of Thirty Days preceding the 2nd day of

Proposed Charter of Gainesville & Alachua County
Hospital Association
Article I
The name of this organization shall be Gainesville & Alachua
County Hospital Association, and shall be located in the
City of Gainesville, in Alachua County, Florida.
Article II
The general nature of the object of this corporation shall
be to establish and maintain a hospital in the City of Gaines-
ville Alachua County, Florida, and to receive and disburse
contributions for charitable purposes, and to promote as
far as may be possible, the well-fare of the sick and
suffering people of Alachua County, Florida; and shall have
power and authority to buy, sell, acquire, and mortgage real
estate or personal property, and to do and perform such
other business as shall be necessary to conduct and carry out
the purposes of this corporation.
Article III.
Such person or persons as shall subscribe to the Constitution
and By-Laws of the corporation, and shall pay such annual
dus as may be provided for by the Association shall be
qualified and admitted as members thereof.
Article IV.
This corporation shall exist for a period of Ninety-nine
(99) years.
