Letters Patent
The State of Florida
To all whom these presents shall come Greet-
ing: Whereas W.R. Thomas, C.W. Clark and E.E. Voyle, on
the sixteenth day of May A.D. 1905 filed in the office of the
Secretary of State a proposed charter of a corporation to be
known as W.R. Thomas Real Estate Company with a capital
of Fifty Thousand ($50,000.00) dollars, for the purpose of
dealing in buying, selling, leasing, and mortgaging real
estate and personal property, Subdivide and lay out tracts
of land, and improve the same, lay out and operate sew-
erage, build, and erect houses, and building of every de-
scription, conduct a naval stores business, operate saw
mills collect rents, and act as agent for parties owning land
or property, advance and loan money on lands or person-
al property, subscribe for, purchase, receive, own, hold,
sell, and dispose of stocks, shares, bonds, securities or
obligations of other corporations wherever located, buy and
sell, lease, own, and use machinery and appliances, sup-
plies, and person property of whatever nature necessary
for the carrying on of the business - and this corporation
shall have power, generally to do and perform, have, hold,
acquire and enjoy all other property, powers and things,
as shall be incident, necessary or expedient for the conduc-
ting the necessary operation of the business and generally to
be vested, and have all the powers, granted or which may be
hereinafter granted to corporations for profit under the laws
of the State of Florida; and have published due notice there-
of, and have otherwise complied with the statute in such
case made and provided. Therefore the State of Florida
hereby incorporates the above named persons their associates
and successors into a body politic and corporate in deed and
in law by and under the said name of W.R. Thomas Real
Estate Company, and grants unto them full authority to ex-
ercise the powers and privileges of a corporation for the
purpose above stated, in accordance with their said
charter and the Laws of this State.
In Witness Whereof, These presents have been attested
with the Great Seal, and signed and countersigned by
the Governor and Secretary of State of the State of Florida
at Tallahassee, the thirty-first day of January A.D. 1906.
