The State of Florida
To all Whom these Presents shall Come Greeting
Whereas L.J. Clyatt, J.B. McDonald, L.B. McDonald
W.W. Hampton B.F. Hampton, T.W. Shands and Antoine
Paul on the second day of December A.D. 1905, filed
in the office of the Secretary of State a proposed char-
ter of a corporation to be known as the Crescent Man-
ufacturing Company with a capital of Fifty Thousand
($50,000.00) dollars for the purpose of buying, holding
and selling real estate and personal property; to buy
and sell timber and timbered lands and naval stores
to manufacture, deal in and sell naval stores, lumber
and lumber supplies, and to deal generally in naval
stores, and to conduct a mercantile business in con-
nection therewith; and when necessary for the pur-
poses of this corporation it may build, equip and
operate railroads may dig canals, may equip and op-
erate steamboats, and other means of transportation
neither of which shall be used as a common carrier
and have published due notice thereof, and have other-
wise complied with the statutes in such case made and
provided. Therefore, the State of Florida hereby incor-
porates the above named persons their associates and
successors into a body politic and corporate in deed
and in law by and under the said name of The
Crescent Manufacturing Company and grants unto
them full authority to exercise the powers and priv-
ileges of a corporation for the purpose above stated
in accordance with their said charter and the Laws
of this State.

State of Florida at Tallahassee, the ninth day of Jan-
uary A.D. 1906.
