pany, and that Ten Percent of its capital stock has
been subscribed and paid.

Letters Patent
The State of Florida
To all Whom these Presents Shall Come -- Greeting
Whereas, G.W. Hyde, Jos. Horner and J.F. Horner, on the
twenty-nith day of January, A.D. 1906, filed in the office of the
Secretary of State a proposed charter of a corporation to be
known as The G.W. Hyde Company with a capital
of Twenty-five thousand ($25,000.00) dollars, for the purpose of
buying and selling at retail dry goods, notions, millinery,
clothing, gents furnishing goods and other general merchan-
dise; to buy and sell personal property of all kinds, and
such real estate as may be necessary in conducting the
business of the company, or to protect it from loss; to
subscribe for, purchase, receive, and hold for investment or
otherwise sell or dispose of stocks, shares, securities or
obligations of other corporations, and while the owner or
holder of such stocks or obligations to exercise all the rights
and powers of ownership thereof, and exercise any
voting powers thereof, and generally to do all other
things that may be necessary for the purpose of conducting
the business of the company; and have published due
notice thereof and have otherwise complied with the
statute in such case made and provided;
Therefore, the State of Florida hereby incorporates the
above named persons, their associates and successors
into a body politic and corporate in deed and in law by and
under the said name of The G.W. Hyde Company
and grants unto them full authority to exercise the
power and privileges of a corporation for the purpose
above stated, in accordance with their said charter and
the Laws of this State.
In Witness Whereof, These presents have been at-
tested with the Great Seal, and signed and coun-
tersigned by the Governor and Secretary of State of
