Notice of application for Letters Patent.
Notice is hereby given that on the 14th
day of May, A.D. 1906, the undersigned will
apply to his Excellency, N.B. Broward, Governor of
the State of Florida, for Letters Patent on the
charter proposed accompanying this notice.

Under and pursuant to the requirements
of the statutes of the State of Florida, we,
the undersignerd, H.A. Pickett, C.D. May, J.F.
Ruff, W.H. Tucker and John G. White, desiring
for ourselves, our associates and successors, to
form and be incorporated as a corporation
for carrying on the business of banking, do
hereby give notice that we shall apply to
the Governor of the State of Florida for Letters
Patent.
The Proposed Charter is as follows
I.
The corporate name of said corporation
shall be Bank of Newberry, located and having
its principal office and place of business
where its operations are to be carried on in
the town of Newberry, Alachua County, Florida.
II.
The purposes and objects for which this
corporation is organized, and the business to
be conducted by said corporation is a general
banking business; the discounting and
negotiating of promissory notes, drafts, bills,
of exchange and other evidences of debt,
receiving deposits, buying and selling
exchange, coin and bullion; loaning money
on personal and real security; to hold,
purchase and convey real estate for all
purposes now or hereafter to be allowed
by law, and generally to do all things
necessary and proper for carrying on said
business, and for these purposes to have
and possess all the rights, benefits,
privileges and immunities incident to
and given under the laws of this State,
to a corporation of such character.
III.
The amount of the capital stock of said
corporation shall be Fifteen Thousand ($15,000.00) |
