                    Letters Patent
          The State of Florida.
     To all whom these presents shall come Greeting,
Whereas, C.W. Chase, W.S. Prindle and E.E. 
Voyle, on the twentieth day of March,  A.D.,
1906, filed in the office of the Secretary of
State a proposed charter of a corporation to
be known as Alachua Naval Stores
Company with a capital of two hundred
and fifty thousand ($250,000.00)
dollars, for the purpose of manufacturing
and dealing in naval stores and other
products, and to handle the same on
commission; to buy, sell, mortgage and
lease lands; to own, operate and maintain
railroads and other means of transportation,
but not as a common carrier; advance and
loan monies on security of lands, naval
stores or otherwise; to buy, sell, lease, own
and use machinery, appliances, supplies
and personal property of whatever nature
necessary or proper for carrying on its
business, and generally to exercise such
powers as shall be necessary for or
incident to the conduct of the business;
ande have published due notice thereof, and
have otherwise complied with the statute in
such case made and provided;
     Therefore, the State of Florida hereby
incorporates the above named persons,
their associates and successors into a
body politic and corporate in deed and
in law by and under the said name of
Alachua Naval Stores Company, and
grants unto them full authority to exercise
the powers and privileges of a corporation
for the purpose above stated in accordnce
with their said charter and the Laws of
this State.
          In Witness whereof, These presents
          have been attested with the
 (Seal)   Great Seal, and signed and
          countersigned by the Governor and
          Secretary of State of the State of
          Florida, at Tallahassee, the
          thirteenth day of June,  A.D.  1906.
