Tampa and Jacksonville Ry. Co. } Agreement of Consol-
                                       idation
     This Joint Agreement of Consolidation, Made
and entered into this 25th day of February, A.D. 1907
by and between the Gainesville and Gulf Railway Com-
pany, of the first part, a railroad corporation
organized under the laws of the State of Florida
and operating a railroad wholly within said
State, and the Tampa and Jacksonville Railway
Company, of the second part, a railroad corpora-
tion organized under the laws of the State of Florida.
Witnesseth, Whereas, The railway owned and opera-
ted by the first above named company within
said State of Florida and the line of route of the
railway owned and to be constructed by the
second above named party within the State of 
Florida form a continuous line in connection
with each other within the said State of Florida;
and Whereas, Each of the said companies has
agreed to consolidate the franchises, and prop-
erty of each of said companies above named
with the other under the provisions of the spec-
ial charter of the party of the first part and
of the General Statutes of the State of Florida in
to a new or consolidated corporation so that
the said railway lines or routes of road when
taken together shall form a continuous and
connected line of railway with each other run-
ning from Tampa in the County of Hillsborough
through the counties of Pasco, Hernando, Citrus,
and Marion to a point at or near the vil-
lage of Fairfield thence extending northward-
ly and northeastwardly over the line of the
said Gainesville and Gulf Railway Company, through
Sampson City to a point at or near the city
of Jacksonville.
Now Therefore, The said companies above named
do hereby enter into this Joint agreement under
the respective corporate seals of each of the
said companies for the purpose of effecting
such consolidation, and do prescribe the
following terms and conditions of such con-
solidation, which terms and conditions the
said parties hereto mutually covenant prom-
ise and agree to preserve, keep and perform,
that is to say:
First: - The capital stock, franchises and prop-
erty of each of the corporations above named
are hereby merged and consolidated into a
