Notice of Application
Notice is hereby given that on the 30th day of June A.D. 1907
the undersigned will apply to his Excellency Napoleon B. Broward
for letters patent for the corporation named below in accordance
with the Articles of Association appended hereto

Articles of Incorporation of the H.J. McCallum Company
Article 1.
The name of this corporation shall be the H.J. McCallum Company.
The principal place of business of said corporation shall be
Alachua Florida but said Corporation may have branch offices
at such place or places as may be designated by its board of
directors within the State of Florida.
Article 2
The general nature of the business to be transcribed by said
corporation shall be to engage in a general merchantile business
to buy and to sell dry goods, groceries hardware fertilizers and
all other kinds of merchandise; to buy and sell farm products;
to buy and sell real estate, and to make loans upon real estate
or personal property and to do and perform all acts and things
that may be necessary in the carrying on of such business or
businesses.
Article 3.
The amount of the Capital Stock of this corporation shall
be Ten Thousand ($10,000.00) Dollars divided into one hundred (100)
shares of the par value of one Hundred Dollars ($100.00) per Share
said Stocks to be fully paid up either in cash or property such
property to be received at such value as may be acceptable
to the Stockholders.
Article 4
The said Corporation shall exist for a period of Ninety nine
(99) years.
Article 5.
The business or businesses of said corporation shall be conducted
by a president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and general
manager and a board of five (5) directors. The first election
for the board of directors shall be on the second Monday in
January 1908, and thereafter each year on the second Monday
in January of such year. The directors shall be elected by
the stockholders. All other officers shall be appointed by the
board of directors. The names of the officers who are to conduct
the business or businesses until those elected at the first
election as prescribed by this charter shall be qualified are:
