Letters Patent State of Florida
To all whom these Presents shall come Greeting
Whereas, W.R. Thomas, Charley W. Chase, J.A. Maultsby,
H.F. Dutton, John G. Nichols and G.K. Broome on the
Sixth day of June A.D. 1907 filed in the Office of the
Secretary of State a proposed Charter of a corporation
to be Known as the Dutton Bank with a Capital of
Seventy five thousand ($75,000.00) Dollars for the purpose
of transacting a general banking business; to have full
power to exercise by its board of directors or duly
authorized officers or agents subject to law all such
incidental powers as may be necessary to carry on the
business of banking by discounting or negotiating prom-
issory Notes, drafts, bill of exchange, and other evidence
of debt, by receiving deposits by buying and selling
exchange, coin, bullion, and by loaning money on
personal and real Security; to purchase hold and
convey real estate as provided for by law. To establish
branches or agencies in any city or Town in this
State and exercise all the necessary powers and
functions of a banking institution for the transaction
of a general banking business under the provisions
of the laws of the State of Florida in reference
thereto. To engage in, carry on and transact the
general business of a safety deposit vault
Company. To procure or construct suitable Vault
or Vaults for the safe keeping of papers documents,
instruments, moneys, bonds, wills, deeds, wares,
property, jewelry, and valubles of whatsoever
character or nature in suitable boxes or Vaults for
Safe Keeping for any person or persons, corporation,
their agents or representatives upon such terms and
conditions and for such compensation or charges
for such rental, protection and service as the
said corporation may determine upon from time to time.
To act as the agent, Factor, broker, or representation
of any person or persons, or corporation or for their
agents or representations in the purchase, sale,
mortgage, management, care or maintenance of any
property real or personal its rents issues products
or profits, or in regard to the adjustment Settlement or
payment of any loan or incumbrance thereon to go
under or execute any power of attorney in
relation to any of said property executing and delivering
deeds, mortgages or other instruments affecting the title to
such property, or creating or releasing liens thereon to
purchase, own, Sell encumber, mortgage and
dispose of lands, products thereof and properties real
and personal of every Kind and description what-
soever, and liens encumbrances or mortgages on Such |
