known as the Archer Crate and Basket Company, which was granted letters patent
by the State of Florida on August 15th. A.D. 1908 and affiant further says
that more than ten per cent of the capital stock of said corporation has been
subscribed and paid for by the incorporators and that said capital stock paid
in cash and is now in the possession of affiant as Treasurer aforesaid.
That more than ten per cent of said capital stock was paid in cash
by the subscribers to said capital stock on August 28th, 1908 and is in the
treasury of said corporation on this date.

Incorporation of Gainesville Hardware Co.
Letters Patent State of Florida
To All Whom These Presents Shall Come - Greeting:-
Whereas, It appears that The S.J. Thomas Company, a
corporation existing under the laws of the State of Florida at
a meeting held for that purpose on the twelfth day of October
A.D. 1908, duly called as provided by law, adopted the following
resolution:
Resolved: That the name of this corporation be changed from
The S.J. Thomas Company to Gainesville Hardware Company
and Whereas a Certificate under the common seal of said
corporation of the said resolution, adopted as aforesaid was
duly filed in the office of the Secretary of State and it ap-
pearing that the resolution will be beneficial and lawful and
not injurious to the community and is in accord with the
purposes of the Charter, the name is therefore approved.
Whereupon The State of Florida Hereby Grants unto the
said corporation under the name of Gainesville Hardware
Company full authority to exercise the powers and privileges
of such corporation under and in accordance with its charter
and resolution, adopted as aforesaid.
In Witness Whereof These presents have been attested
with the Great Seal and signed and countersigned by the
Governor and Secretary of State of the State of Florida, at Tal-
lahassee, the Capital, this the seventeenth day of October A.D.
1908.
