Hawthorne Trading Co.
     LETTERS PATENT-STATE OF FLORIDA -TO ALL WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME-
GREETING:  WHEREAS, W.E. Laughinghouse, E.L. Hulme, J.E. Martin, C.D. Morrison
J.W. Peacock and G.W. Peacock, on the twentieth day of April A. D. 1909, filed in
the office of the Secretary of State a proposed charter of a corporation to be
known as HAWTHORNE TRADING COMPANY with a capital of FIVE THOUSAND ($5,000.00)
Dollars, for the purpose of establishing and carrying on all of any part of the
business of buying and selling, either as wholesale or retail, or both, any and all
of the following classes of merchndise, to wit: dry goods, notions, boots and shoes, ha
hats and wearing apparel generally, linen and cotton goodes, silk, furs laces and gener-
ally and without limitation all articles of merchandise usually sold or which
my be conviently sold in connection with the merchandise hereinbefore referred to
To buy, sell and deal in, both by retail and wholesome, millinery, garments and waer-
ing apparel generally furniture, coffins,, iron and glass ware, crockery and other
household fittings and utensils, bric-a-brac and ornaments generally, stationery,
notions and fancy goods, hardware, jewelry, gold and silver, plated ware, watches and
precious stones, meats and provisions generally, drugs, chemcicals, perfumery, soap
and toilet articles generally, books, papers, magazines, musicial instruments, bicycles
and tricycles, fertilizers, saddlery and harness and sporting goods, milk, cream,
butter, eggs and cheese and dairymen's products generally, as well as produce of any
and all kinds.  To lend and borrow money, to acquire proper securities and to execu-
te and deliver proper securities therefor; to acquire, own and dispose of all
kinds of real and personal property.  To buy, sell and deal in, both by retail and
wholesale, groceries, grains and feed stuffs of every description.  To do a general
jobbing commission and consignment business, to buy, own, sell and control and impro-
ve real estate; to buy, sell and handle mules, horses and live stock of every descri-
ption; to buy, own and control warerooms and other buildings necessary for the pur-
poses of the business hereby authorized.  To do any and all things necessary and
requisite for carrying out the purposes of this organization; and have published
due notice thereof, and have otherwise complied with the statute in such case
made and provided;  THEREFORE, THE STATE OF FLORIDA HEREBY INCORPORATE the above nam-
ed persons their associates and successors into a body politic and corporate in
deed and in law by and under the said name of HAWTHORNE TRADING COMPANY AND
GRANTS unto them full authority to exercise the powers and privileges of a corpora-
tion for the purpose above stated, in accordance with their said charter and
the Laws of this State.
     IN WITNESS WHEREOF These presents have been attested with the Great Seal, and
signed and countersigned by the Governor and Secretary of State of the State
of Florida, at Tallahsassee, the Capital this the twenty-fifth day of May  A.D.  1909.

          NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR LETTERS PATENT.
     Notice is hereby given that the undersigned, on May 25, 1909, will apply to the
Governor of the State of Florida for Letters Patent incorporating the undersigned
and their associates under the name of the HAWTHORNE TRADING COMPANY, under the fol-
lowing proposed Articles of Incorporation.
