The Padgett Futch Company and its principal place
of business in Gainesville, Alachua County, Florida but
it may establish offices, agencies, stores, mills, or
factories at such other places and shall be designated
by the board of directors.
Article 2.
The General natue of the business to be transacted
by this corporation shall be: Buying and selling all
kinds of merchandise, including dry goods, groceries,
hardware, boots, and shoes, millinery, furniture, coffins
glass, and crockery ware fertilizers, musical instruments
bicycles, vehicles of all kinds, and any and all goods
wares and merchandise that may be sold in a
general merchandise business.
2=. Buying, owning, leasing or selling horses, mules
and all other kinds of live stock.
3-. Buy, own, operate mills and gins for the purpose
of grinding corn and other grain, ginning cotton and
preparing farm products for market.
4. Buy, own, sell and encumber real estate and
personal property.
5. To borrow and loan money, to take security or
to execute and deliver security for the same.
6. To do any and all acts, necessary in carrying
out the purposes of a general mercantile business.
Article 3.
The capital stock of said corporation shall be
Fifty Thousand Dollars divided into five hundred
shares of One Hundred Dollars each, to be paid
for in cash.
Article 4.
The term for which the said corporation
shall exist shall be ninety-nine years.
Article 5.
The business of the said corporation shall be con-
ducted by a president, vice-president, secretary,
treasurer, general manager and a board of
directors. The term of office of the president and
the general manager shall be one year. All
officers shall be a stockholder in said corporation
but any stockholders may hold as many offices
as he may be elected to by the board of directors
who, after their election, shall elect all other
officers.
Article 6.
The highest amount of indebtedness to which
the said corporation shall at any time subject
itself shall be Thirty Five Thousand Dollars. |
