Letters Patent The State of Florida.
To All whom these presents shall come = Greetings: -
Whereas, J.J. Haymans, C.A.Faircloth, J.W. McDowall, R.D. Medlin
J.M. Fennell and F.R. Hartsfield, on the ninth day of April,
A.D. 1910, filed in the office of the Secretary of State a proposed
charter of a corporation to be known as The Florida Bank of Gainesville
with a capital of Seventy five thousand ($75,000.00) dollars for the
purpose of transacting a general banking business, with powers
incident thereto, as provided by the Statutes of the State of Florida
and such incidental powers as may be necessary to carry on the business
of banking by discounting and negotiating promissory notes, drafts
bills of exchange and other evidences of debt; by receiving money
on personal and real security; and have published due notice
thereof and have otherwise complied with the Statute in such case
made and provided.
Therefore, the State of Florida hereby incorporates the above named
persons, their associates and successors into a body politic and
corporate in deed and in law by and under the said name of The
Florida Bank of Gainesville and grant unto them full authority
to exercise the powers and privileges of a corporation for the purpose
above stated, in accordance with their said charter and the Laws
of this State.
In Witness Whereof These presents have been attested with the
Great Seal, and signed and countersigned by the Governor and
Secretary of State of the State of Florida at Tallahassee, the Capitol
this the 14th day of May - A.D. 1910.
