charter and the Laws of the State.
In Witness Whereof These presents have been attested with the Great
Seal and signed and countersigned by the Governor and Secretary of
State of the State of Florida, at Tallahassee the capital this the first day
of June  A.D.  1911

Notice of Intention To Apply For Letters Patent.
Notice is hereby given that on the 1st day of June  1911, the undersigned
will apply to his Excellency, Albert W. Gilchrist, Governor of the State of
Florida for Letters Patent on the Charter proposed herewith accom-
panying this notice
                         Chas B. Harman.
                         W.W. Hampton
                         J.B. Padgett.

Under and pursuant to the requirements of the Statutes of the State of
Florida we, the undersigned, Chas B. Harman, W.W. Hampton and
J.B. Padgett desiring for ourselves, our associates and successors
to form and be incorporated as a corporation, do hereby give notice
that we shall apply to the Governor of the State of Florida for
Letters Patent.

          The  Proposed Charter is as follows - 
                    Article I.
     The corporate name of said corporation shall be "The Lumber
Manufacturing Company" located and having its principal
office and place of business at Gainesville in Alachua County Florida.
                    Article II.
     The general nature of the business to be transacted and the
purpose and object for which this corporation is organized,
are the buying, selling and manufacturing of all kinds of timber
and lumber sash, doors, blinds, scroll work, veneering, crates,
shingles carrying on, conducting and operating a milling business
maintaining and operating dry kiln, buying, selling, leasing
or mortgaging of real estate and personal property, the manufacture
and sale of ice, the construction and equipment and operation of a
water plant in connection therewith, and furnishing of water for
any and all purposes, the construction and operation of an
electric, gas or other lighting plant and generally to do all things
necessary and proper for carrying on said business or to protect and
advance the interests thereof and for these purposes to have and possess
all the rights, benefits, privileges - and immunities incident to and
given under the laws of this State to a corporation of such character.
                    Article III
     The amount of the Capital stock of said corporation shall be:
Thirty five Thousand ($35,000.00) dollars to be divided into three
hundred fifty (350) shares, of the par value of One hundred ($100.00)
dollars cash, payable in lawful money of the United States, or in
property at a just valuation to be fixed by the stockholders.
