Notice of Intention to Apply for Letters
Patent
Notice is hereby given that the undersigned will apply
to the Hon. Albert W. Gilchrist, Governor of the State of Florida
at Tallahassee, Fla. on the 30th day of March A.D. 1912, for
Letters Patent incorporating The American Business Con-
clave, under the following proposed charter, the original
of which is now on file in the Office of the Secretary of the
State of Florida.
Article of Incorporation of the American Business Con-
clave.
We, the undersigned, do hereby associate ourselves to-
gether for the purpose of becoming a body corporate
under the laws of the State of Florida, and in compliance
therewith and for that purpose have agreed upon the
following Articles of Incorporation.
Article I.
Name and Residence
The name of this corporation shall be "The American
Business Conclave" and its principal office and place
of business shall be in the town of Hawthorne
County of Alachua, and State of Florida. It shall
establish local offices to be known as assemblies
of The American Business Conclave, to aid in
carrying out its purposes or as hereinafter prescribed
whenever and wherever may be deemed necessary
within the State of Florida by its duly authorized
officers.
Article II.
Purposes and General Nature of Business
The purposes for which this corporation is formed
are to unite under such laws, rules and regulations
as may facilitate the exercise of the influences
of the best element of its members, on the less
enterprising and morally weaker men, for the better-
ment of (Theirs and) their (neighbors) environments
in their respective communities, to restrain any
habitual influence or practice that may be
directly or indirectly productive of vice, poverty
or crime, to build in them that degree of moral |
